"Rone’s posters are some of the most iconic in Australia, hiding under overpasses throughout Melbourne. He is renowned for the stylised images of ‘girls’ faces – it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that he’s had more posters in his home town’s streets than any other artist in history."
GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS!
I cannot say his work is particularly thought provoking, or even particularly original, but I can say it's a collection of easy-on-the-eye portraits that I really wouldn't mind adopting into my every day street scenery. Lined side-by-side, the pieces show case a collection of beautiful, young women all seemingly burdoned by something, or thinking about someone.
I think what captures me the most is their eyes- they seem to jump off the canvas/wall every single time....

In light of the excitement due to visiting my beloved Mui Ne (Vietnam) in just over a week, I decided to scroll through the archives of snap-shots I collected in my seven or so months there.
These three images are definately in amongst my favourites from that time and whilst day-dreaming about sitting on the tall, concrete wall from where I took these I noticed one thing...
The first shot was taken in the evening and the last two were taken at the same spot but in the morning. Yet, they almost look as if they were taken at the same time.
It almost reflects the way my memories of this beautiful place have blurred into one big continuim- just a slideshow of moments, grand and small, arranged randomly with no sense of time or heirachy.

I took this image whilst standing on the wave breaker wall just metres from the front door of our little beach house.

(Happy New Years)
To me this sign is more beautiful now than when it was on fire the night before...
